NASHIK TRAVEL INFORMATION

Nashik is a city of great religious and historical significance, and the ground on which the Simhastha Kumbh Mela is held. It is believed to be the place where Lakshmana, the brother of Lord Rama, cut off the nose of the demoness Surpanakha, and the city takes its name from nasika, the Sanskrit word for nose.
